That the Parliament congratulates the citizens of Bo’ness on holding what is regarded locally as "the best day of the year", which was the Bo’ness Children's Fair that took place on 29 June 2018; recognises that the fair, in its current format, was first launched 120 years ago in 1897 by the then Provost, George Cadell Stewart, and has been held every year since, with the exception of the years of the First and Second World Wars and the industrial depressions of 1921 and 1926; understands that the Bo’ness Fair is the largest and most popular event of its type across the UK; notes the exceptional effort put in by the fair committee, which is chaired by Scott McBride, in organising such a fantastic event; congratulates the Fair Day Queen, Zoe Carlin, and her retinue on a seamless crowning ceremony; commends the local community activist, Maria Ford, for her role in crowning this year’s Queen; congratulates Bo’ness on its fantastic community spirit on this day and all year round, and looks forward to "the best day of the year" coming around again in 2019.
