Camphill Fish, Supporting Wellbeing

  • Submitted by: Stewart Stevenson, Banffshire and Buchan Coast, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 30 April 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-11962

That the Parliament congratulates the Camphill Wellbeing Trust (CWT) and the Aberdeen fish merchant, J Charles, for the introduction of their joint Camphill Fish project; understands that this will help give people access to fresh, quality fish with 10% of sales going to CWT; notes that proceeds will go towards providing CWT’s therapeutic services to people with learning disabilities, cancer and chronic or other conditions; further notes that the project will also benefit sustainable fishing by raising awareness of all Scottish caught fish species, including those landed at Peterhead and other North East ports, being usuable and to avoid the discarding of fish back into the sea, and wishes both CWT and J Charles every success in the future.
