Charmaine Laurie, Lothian Bus Hero

  • Submitted by: Ash Regan, Edinburgh Eastern, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 05 March 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-10816

That the Parliament commends Charmaine Laurie, who is a driver with Lothian Buses and who lives in the Edinburgh Eastern constituency, on demonstrating her superb driving skills when, during appalling blizzard-like conditions, she controlled her bus from hitting a car that had skid into her path and that of other oncoming traffic; notes that Charmaine, who has been a bus driver for three years, accredits her ability to the training that she has received, and wishes this local hero all the best.
