  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 08 December 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-09454

That the Parliament congratulates the care home manager, Samantha “Flying Sam” Beattie, at Balhousie Forth View in Methil, Fife, on her unique and brave sponsored skydive to raise funds for the care home; notes that the £1,500 raised for the home has been used to purchase a laptop, virtual reality headset, three Amazon Echo devices and a tablet for the older people to live an updated, comfortable lifestyle; further notes that virtual reality headsets are a great opportunity for older people to relive and visit anywhere from Chile to their childhood homes, and wishes Samantha and all the staff and residents at the care home all the best for the future.
