That the Parliament commends East Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) on its extraordinary work in helping people; understands that figures released at its AGM show that its volunteers have helped the CAB assist over 7,000 clients and achieve £3.2 million in financial gains over the last year and that other headline figures include a 79% benefit appeal success rate, 89 evictions being prevented and the representation of 119 homelessness appeals; notes that its 42 volunteers dedicated 8,424 hours to its work and that, because this is donated free of charge, it saves a wage bill of £127,000; understands that the CAB recorded that the current economic climate led to a 21% increase in its referrals to food banks, and acknowledges the tremendous work of the staff and volunteers.
