That the Parliament congratulates Shona McCann on her appointment as the Maternity Lead for Scotland’s new Perinatal Mental Health Managed Clinical Network (MCN); understands that Shona is Scotland’s only Specialist Midwife in Perinatal Mental Health, and that she operates midwife-run clinics in Aberdeen, Inverurie, Ellon, Peterhead, Buckie and Elgin, supporting women affected by anxiety and depression in the antenatal and postnatal period; recognises the importance of ensuring that women are in good mental health throughout, and following, pregnancy, and of having a network in place to facilitate intervention at an early stage; commends Shona on her work in this area so far, and wishes her well in her role with the Perinatal Mental Health MCN.
