That the Parliament congratulates Haddo Arts Festival on being given the status of European Festival; recognises that the event achieved the label by impressing an international jury from Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (EFFE) with its ambition to work with schools and the surrounding area in rural Aberdeenshire; acknowledges that EFFE is the result of collaboration between the European Commission and the European Parliament; understands that pupils from local schools have been working with musicians from the Scottish Opera orchestra to write a song to be performed at the festival in October 2017; commends the organisers of Haddo Arts Festival, and wishes it every success this year and beyond.
