  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 18 April 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-05184

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Clackmannanshire companies will be invited to learn from Scotland’s leading green business champions at a special event to celebrate the launch of the 2017 VIBES Awards; understands that 2017 marks the 18th anniversary of the awards and will also see the unveiling of a new name, VIBES - Scottish Environment Business Awards, which recognise and reward companies employing environmental best practice in their daily activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation, enhance competitiveness, support wider sustainable developments and benefit their company’s bottom-line; notes that the awards are free to enter and are open to businesses of all sizes and sectors, and believes that the free event on 25 April, between 4 and 6 pm, will provide businesses with the opportunity to hear directly from Webhelp UK, which was highly commended at the 2016 awards, as well as the event host, Stirling University Innovation Park.
