That the Parliament welcomes the news that Little Stars Nursery in Alloa is set to move to a brand new home enabling the business to double the number of children that it can care for; understands that the £500,000 project from the owners, Sheila and Kevin Gilmartin, will also bring with it breakfast club and after-school care places; believes that planning permission for the erection of a single story nursery on part of a vacant site on Caledonian Road was granted earlier in March 2017 to cope with the growing demand when it is relocated from its current spot on Bedford Place to The Pleasures, just behind Redwell Primary School; understands that the purpose-built 4,000 square foot building will be able to offer 51 places for children, from birth to five-years-old, in an open plan, quality learning environment, and acknowledges that it will also encompass 20 full-time and part-time jobs, including one for a chef to allow for nutritious and healthy home-cooked meals as part of the new service.
