Lottery Funding for Granton Youth Centre

That the Parliament congratulates all at Granton Youth Centre Limited on receiving a £142,500 grant from the Big Lottery Fund; notes that the group will deliver peer mentoring, support and volunteering activities for young lone parents living in north Edinburgh; understands that the group will work with parents aged 15 to 26, where a community-based programme will be developed, to address the issues facing the participants; notes that the work will be designed with input from the parents with the aim of promoting resilience, enhancing confidence and developing social and practical skills among those involved, and wishes everyone at the centre the best of luck.
