That the Parliament congratulates the success of the recent five-a-side football tournament in Glasgow, which brought together pupils from Cardinal Winning, Parkhill and St Oswald’s secondary schools in a celebration of teamwork, inclusion and sporting excellence; recognises the work of Variety Scotland’s Big Days Out committee in creating inclusive sporting opportunities for children and young people with additional support needs; acknowledges the dedication of organisers, volunteers, including David McBride, marking 40 years of service, and event sponsors such as Pitstop Nutrition, whose support helped make the tournament a memorable experience for all participants; notes that Cardinal Winning Secondary School emerged as champion, lifting the Jack Zimmer Memorial Trophy after a dramatic penalty shootout, and that every player received a medal and water bottle in recognition of their efforts and participation, and congratulates all pupils, staff, organisers and sponsors involved in the tournament for promoting inclusion, friendship and the spirit of sport across Glasgow schools.
