That the Parliament congratulates Allanah Louttit on her incredible achievement of scaling Mount Kilimanjaro, on behalf of the Orkney charity, the Peedie Retreat; considers that this is a remarkable demonstration of both physical and mental resilience in incredibly challenging circumstances, and that Allanah overcame nausea, sleep deprivation and extreme weather conditions to complete the feat; notes that Allanah has raised more than £2,200 for the Peedie Retreat, which is a charity working to build and operate bespoke and accessible accommodation at Inganess Beach for people with cancer or MS in Orkney to visit with loved ones, free of charge; acknowledges the benefits of rest and recuperation in a beautiful natural environment with access to social spaces and wellbeing services; commends Allanah for choosing to support this wonderful cause and believes the funds raised will be of huge benefit to people in Orkney impacted by cancer and MS, and pays tribute, both to Allanah on her outstanding achievement, and the Peedie Retreat charity on its work to support patients and families in Orkney.
