Colourful Transformation for Glasgow Street

That the Parliament congratulates the residents and tenants of the Balgrayhill United Tenants Association (BUTA), housing association ng homes and the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) Glasgow, who have transformed a previously neglected space into a vibrant community garden and mural; notes the collaborative work in clearing weeds and rubbish, repairing walls and creating a colourful mural with the involvement of children from the AUGB Glasgow art studio; recognises what it sees as the positive impact that the garden and mural have on the local community, including fostering social cohesion, reducing isolation and providing a welcoming space for all to enjoy; acknowledges the dedication, creativity and commitment of those involved in nurturing and improving the space, and recognises what it sees as the importance of community-led initiatives in enhancing neighbourhoods and bringing residents together.
