That the Parliament congratulates the organisers of the Springburn Community Festival on its return to north Glasgow, offering a full day of family fun, food and entertainment on 13 September 2025; notes that the festival, now in its fourth year, has grown into a much-loved annual event that attracts hundreds of local residents and visitors, providing a free opportunity for families, young people and older members of the community to come together in celebration; recognises the festival’s role in celebrating the history and heritage of Springburn, while showcasing the area’s diverse culture and talent and supporting local performers, artists and small businesses through its range of stalls, workshops and performances; acknowledges that the event provides a safe, inclusive and accessible space for children and families to enjoy a wide variety of activities, including live music, dance, art workshops, sports, face painting, mascots and even live wrestling, fostering community engagement and social cohesion; notes that the organisers have implemented a series of temporary road closures and other safety measures to ensure the wellbeing of attendees and participants, demonstrating careful planning and consideration for public safety, and considers that events such as the Springburn Community Festival contribute to the social, cultural and economic life of the area, providing residents with opportunities to connect, celebrate their community and create lasting memories, while inspiring young people and supporting local businesses.
