That the Parliament recognises the success of Flamingo Beach at Silverburn, which, over the past three summers, has raised a remarkable £139,388 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity through its annual community event; notes that, in 2025, the initiative raised £50,000, surpassing 2024’s total of £46,000; believes that this reflects the generosity and commitment of the community; recognises that the nine-week-long event provided families with an affordable and accessible space for children to enjoy the sand and for parents to take a welcome break, regardless of Scotland's weather; acknowledges that the opportunity to support the hospital charity through merchandise sales and donations further strengthened the connection between the event and the cause, and understands that, since launching in 2023, Flamingo Beach has welcomed over 64,000 visitors, creating lasting memories for families while delivering vital support for the children and families who rely on Glasgow Children’s Hospital.
