That the Parliament joins the charity, Children with Cancer UK, in marking Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM) over September 2025; understands that the month aims to generate awareness and support for children with cancer; notes that Public Health Scotland figures record that 330 children and young people under 25 are diagnosed with cancer in Scotland annually and that Children with Cancer UK states that, every day, 10 children and young people in the UK receive the devastating news that they have cancer; expresses its deepest regret at reports that, of those 10, two will not survive; believes that, of those that survive, many will have long-term side effects that might significantly impact their lives forever; acknowledges the 35 years of both CCAM and Children with Cancer UK’s work supporting families affected by childhood cancer, and recognises the positive impacts of CCAM and the work of Children with Cancer UK on raising vital funding for new, less toxic, treatments and helping to improve the quality of life of the children and families affected.
