That the Parliament congratulates Georgetown Primary School and Nursery, in Dumfries in the South Scotland Region, on the highly positive findings from its May 2025 inspection by Education Scotland; understands that inspectors identified several key strengths, including the confidence, motivation, and global awareness of the children, the effective leadership of the headteacher, and senior staff, and the nurturing and inclusive environment across the school and Queensberry Learning Centre; notes the strong focus on health and wellbeing; commends the school’s use of data to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy, ensuring targeted support and improved outcomes for learners; acknowledges the evaluations of “very good” across all quality indicators for both the primary and nursery stages; recognises the school’s commitment to continuous improvement, including expanding leadership roles for children and further raising attainment, and wishes the staff, pupils, and wider school community continued success in their educational journey.
