That the Parliament is enthused that an important event for people with learning disabilities is set to take place in Alloa; understands that the Clackmannanshire Learning Disability Forum is being organised by People First Scotland’s Clackmannanshire members and will take place on 28 August 2025 at the Hawkhill Community Centre; further understands that the forum aims to bring people with learning disabilities, and other interested parties, together to talk about topics such as health and social care support, the impact of the new benefits system, access to support services in the community and the functionality of public transport systems; notes that the event will also look at the support and services available to people with learning disabilities; believes that the work being carried out at the forum hopes to raise awareness and encourage discussions about the challenges that can be being faced by people in Clackmannanshire with learning disabilities; commends People First Scotland’s Clackmannanshire members for arranging this event, and wishes everyone involved all the very best for the forum’s ultimate success.
