Clackmannanshire Country Music Duo Raises Cash for CHAS After Alva Pub Performances

  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 14 July 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-18296

That the Parliament welcomes the news that three country music performances in a Clackmannanshire pub have helped raise over £700 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS); understands that a local country duo, known as Wee Country, put on sessions at The Cairn in Alva, with the proceeds being donated to CHAS after their performance at the beginning of July 2025; understands that, thanks to the generosity of The Cairn’s owner and its regular customers, £719 was raised across the three concerts, and commends everyone involved for their highly magnanimous endeavours.
