That the Parliament congratulates Greener Kirkcaldy on the renewal of its status as a Gold Carbon Literate Organisation by the Carbon Literacy Project; understands that this prestigious accreditation reflects the organisation’s sustained commitment to embedding carbon literacy and climate education across its workforce and community; notes that over 90% of staff and many volunteers have achieved Carbon Literacy certification through the bespoke Fife Climate Knowhow training programme; commends Greener Kirkcaldy’s leadership role in advancing climate action in Fife through its active involvement in Climate Action Fife, its ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, and its community-led initiatives such as sustainable transport promotion, energy-efficient upgrades, and inclusive climate engagement, and acknowledges the contribution that it believes this work makes towards Scotland’s net zero ambitions, and wishes everyone at Greener Kirkcaldy continued success in the future.
