John Watson Appointed CBE in The King's Birthday Honours List 2025

That the Parliament congratulates John Watson, a businessman and philanthropist from Bearsden, on being appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in His Majesty The King's Birthday Honours List 2025 for his services to education and charity; notes that John has made significant contributions to various charitable causes and educational initiatives, which include his support for the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow, the restoration of the Clyde steamer TS Queen Mary, and the establishment of a COVID-19 pandemic memorial garden in Pollok Park; acknowledges that his philanthropic efforts through the Watson Foundation have had a profound impact on the community; recognises his dedication to improving the lives of others and fostering a spirit of generosity and community support, and wishes him continued success.
