Alan and Helen Aitken’s Dedication to the Boys’ Brigade

That the Parliament expresses its sincere gratitude to Alan and Helen Aitken for their remarkable service to the Inverclyde and District Battalion Boys’ Brigade; acknowledges Alan’s 47 years of dedication and Helen’s 46 years of commitment to the 2nd Gourock Boys’ Brigade Company; recognises what it sees as the lasting impact of their leadership on generations of young people, providing guidance, encouragement, and fostering a strong sense of community; commends their unwavering support of the Boys’ Brigade movement, their church St John’s in Gourock, and the wider Inverclyde community; notes the heartfelt appreciation shown by the company and St John’s congregation during their retirement service and parade on 11 May 2025, and welcomes the appointment of new Captain Colin Morrison, and wishes Alan and Helen a well-earned retirement.
