That the Parliament congratulates Pawel Martynk, a student chef from Greenock and hospitality student at West College Scotland, for his outstanding achievement in winning the prestigious Unox Cookery Competition in Venice, Italy; understands that Pawel served a two-course meal featuring herb-crusted roast rack of lamb with celeriac purée, parmentier potatoes, roast lamb jus, and carrots, followed by a decadent chocolate fondant with cinnamon cream and baked tuilles; further understands that Pawel’s prize-winning meals earned him a package worth £10,000, including a professional set of chef’s knives, a place on an exclusive bread and pizza-making course, and a state-of-the-art unox oven for the Greenock campus; commends the efforts of West College Scotland’s hospitality teaching staff in supporting Pawel and other students in their culinary pursuits, and wishes Pawel continued success in his future culinary endeavours.
