That the Parliament congratulates the Port of Aberdeen on what it regards as its strong financial performance for 2024; understands that the Port is the UK’s oldest existing business; believes that the opening of the new South Harbour has contributed to the port’s continued growth; acknowledges reports that turnover, vessel arrivals, tonnage and ferry passenger numbers all increased; celebrates that this was achieved during what it believes were challenging market conditions, and recognises that, as a trust port, all profits are reinvested into the port’s development, helping to support the economic growth of Aberdeen and the wider north east.
