That the Parliament congratulates Lauriston Farm, in north west Edinburgh, on being awarded £4,550 from the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) and the Williamson Trust; understands that Lauriston Farm is a cooperative farm, which is run by its workers and is dedicated to sustainable food production, biodiversity and community; further understands that Lauriston Farm was awarded funding to develop a sustainable alternative to chemical fertilisers, using aerated compost teas; recognises what it sees as Lauriston Farm’s commitment to regenerative land management and fostering community wellbeing; notes that the RSE and the Williamson Trust awarded 16 community-led research projects as part of the Healthy Planet, Healthy People Awards, which aim to enable community-led research projects that promote the health of individuals by fostering healthy communities, environments and food; believes that supporting community and cooperative enterprise benefits individuals and communities, and congratulates all those involved at Lauriston Farm.
