Celebrating Highlands and Islands' Success in the Gold School Sport Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh and Farr Primary School in the Highlands and Islands region, which have been awarded the Gold School Sport Award, an award presented by sportscotland to recognise the hard work and dedication of young people who have actively participated in extra-curricular sport; notes that the Gold Award recognises the highest standards of practice in placing young people at the heart of the organisation and delivery of, and participation in, extra-curricular sports; thanks the schools for the opportunities that they are offering their students for the continuous development of their leadership, resilience and physical skills through sporting activities and encouraging links between students and their communities; understands that there are now 30 Gold School Sport Award holders across the Highlands and Islands; celebrates Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh and Farr Primary School for their achievement, and wishes all participating schools continued success in promoting sports and wellbeing among Scotland’s young people.
