Glasgow Girl Wins Gold at Golden Gloves Championships

That the Parliament congratulates 13-year-old Eve Docherty of Glasgow, on winning Golden Gloves at Boxing Scotland's School, Junior and Youth Golden Gloves Championships 2025 in the Schools 2011 64kg category; understands that the competition was held at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell; notes that Eve is a dedicated and determined boxer and has been training three times a week since she was five years old; acknowledges that she is a member of the Edge Gym in Broomhill, Glasgow; believes that boxing can improve heart health, strength, endurance, balance and coordination, reduces stress, anxiety and depression, and improves self-confidence and overall wellbeing, and wishes Eve every success in her boxing career.
