That the Parliament praises chef Gary Townsend on his first solo venture, Elements in Bearsden; notes that he has been head chef at One Devonshire Gardens and worked at Cameron House Hotel along with a host of international venues over the past 20 years; understands that Elements will be a simple, yet elegant, fine dining restaurant that will focus on delivering exceptional food and service, utilising ingredients sourced from Scotland’s most committed producers and farmers; further understands that £400,000 of investment is being put into the venue and that Element’s new home has undergone a major refurbishment before the anticipated opening in July 2024; appreciates the community focus of the business which, it understands, will employ 15 local people, and wishes the team every success for the much anticipated restaurant.
