Glasgow Estate Agent Fundraising for Vital Hospice Throughout its 20th Anniversary Year

  • Submitted by: Annie Wells, Glasgow, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 11 April 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-12796

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Property Centre (SPC) on raising funds throughout its 20th anniversary year for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice; notes that the hospice's aim is to provide comfort, peace of mind and appropriate care for people entering the last chapters of their lives, with a range of services available at its purpose-built hospice in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow; understands that the company has pledged to raise as much as possible for the Bellahouston hospice in a year-long campaign; understands that it kicked off this project with a launch event in Glasgow’s southside in March 2024, which raised over £2,000 through a raffle; acknowledges that the company directors and staff are all grateful and humbled by the work that the hospice team does at a time when, it believes, people need it most, and that they saw the company's 20th anniversary year as a way of giving back to the community, which, it understands, is a core part of its beliefs, and understands that SPC’s fundraising drive will continue with a golf day in August and a 100 ft zip slide across the Clyde in September.
