That the Parliament congratulates Race Against Dementia (RAD) on raising over £150,000 at a Gala Ball hosted by the Moulsdale Foundation at its innovative Charitable Hub in Bishopbriggs; considers that RAD is a ground-breaking charity, established by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, in honour of his wife, Lady Stewart, who lives with this life-altering condition; commends the vision of David Moulsdale and the Moulsdale Foundation in establishing the Bishopbriggs Charitable Hub, which, it believes, will benefit a wide range of Scottish, UK and international charities by enabling them to maximise the benefit of donations from others through hosting functions at no cost to those charities; understands that there are plans to host similar functions for other registered charities and that the 2,000-capacity facility will promote charitable endeavours for many years to come; believes that the innovative philanthropic model of the Moulsdale Foundation is the first of its kind across the UK in enabling charities to generate income; sends heartfelt thanks to David Moulsdale, Founder and Chairman of the Moulsdale Foundation and the Optical Express Group, for enabling what it sees as this impactful event on 4 November 2023, which will be the first of many; delights at the support shown by guests Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, David Coulthard MBE, Allan McNish, Andy Cameron MBE, Colin Mustoe MBE, Kevin Horkin MBE, Mark Stewart, Robin Galloway, and the many generous donors and bidders of auction prizes; sends its encouragement to all those involved in the powerful work of RAD, and extends warmest thanks to the team at the Moulsdale Foundation for its inspirational support of this charity and many others.
