That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) for its successful organising and hosting of the Gathering 2023, which took place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) from 7-8 November; understands that the Gathering is the largest free voluntary sector event in the United Kingdom; recognises that the two-day event saw over 3,000 attendees enjoying a packed programme of workshops, seminars, activities, and networking opportunities; commends SCVO staff and volunteers, as well as EICC staff and all attendees, for their efforts in ensuring that the 2023 event was a great success, and notes that SCVO will be hosting the Gathering Extra on 29 November, a free online event allowing participants to enjoy the energy and feel of the Gathering from the comfort of their own office or home.
