That the Parliament congratulates the Link Group, one of Scotland’s largest providers of affordable housing and support services, on winning two awards at the recent Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) Scotland Housing Awards 2023 event, which was held in Glasgow; understands that these annual awards are presented in national recognition of the creativity, passion and innovation of housing organisations and individuals across the sector; commends that, from over a hundred nominations across 19 categories, the Link Group picked up two awards; recognises that the first award was for the Housing Organisation of the Year; understands that the Link Group, now in its 60th year of operation, and through its Link Advice Services staff has supported, and continues to support, tenants through the cost of living crisis and distributes crisis funds to those most in need of help; further understands that it distributes funds to pay with heating bills, invests in training its staff through the Link Living’s Skills Academy and has a tenancy sustainment rate of 97.64% in 2023, which, it believes, demonstrates its commitment to supporting tenants to continue to live in their homes; understands that it has committed to a sustainability strategy for future sustainable homes, sustainable communities and sustainable business; recognises that the second award was for Excellence in Communications for its transformative communications to engage tenants, communities and staff and believes that this is a great achievement, considering that this is only the second year of its revamped Link communications team, and wishes the Link Group continued success in the benefits that it brings to its staff, its tenants and the communities that it creates.
