That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy’s Dunnikier Park golf course on being awarded a £16,000 investment from the local area committee to improve security and build 18 new winter tees; understands that the "park golf" course is a six-hole game that provides a route into the sport for beginners of any age, and also caters to players wanting a shorter game; further understands that the course was jointly funded by Fife Council, Scottish Golf and Dunnikier Golf Club to operate as a community development course and as a practice area, becoming very popular in the local community; believes that the course has even allowed Dunnikier to become an active partner with local primary schools, care homes, Active Schools Fife, and more, with more than 240 local primary school students attending between April and the end of June 2023; understands that it also hosted the Park Golf Care Home League, with the last event in August 2023 being attended by eight teams of seniors from four care homes in Fife; further understands that the club has also partnered with Scottish Golf to launch a programme exclusively designed to attract girls into golf, and wishes the club success in its endeavours and all the best for its members and staff.
