  • Submitted by: Dr Pam Gosal MBE, West Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 03 November 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-11088

That the Parliament recognises the work of Gareloch Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), which received a grant of £500 from the Asda foundation, a charitable company that provides grants to a range of good causes in Scotland; notes that Gareloch RDA has been providing services to disabled people in the Helensburgh area since 1976; understands that Gareloch RDA helps those who would otherwise feel excluded from activities such as riding due to their disabilities; believes that, after a difficult period throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Gareloch RDA is now busier than ever, and wishes the riding school every success in its work within the local community.
