SABASH 10th Edinburgh Durgotsav Celebrations

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish Association of Bengali Arts and Sanskritik Heritage (SABASH), a registered Scottish charity, on the celebration of its 10th year of Edinburgh Durgotsav at the Cramond Kirk Hall, Edinburgh, for four consecutive days; understands that it was inscribed in 2021 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity; notes that SABASH is devoted to enhance and inspire ethnic Bengali communities across Scotland; acknowledges the support given to the Edinburgh Durgotsav 2023 event by the Bengali community and key sponsors; commends the event for its inclusiveness and for being widely celebrated and freely accessible to the public for the past 10 years, and believes that Durgotsav is a key multicultural event in Edinburgh's cultural calendar.
