That the Parliament celebrates the 100th anniversary of the University of Aberdeen's School of Engineering; understands that the University of Aberdeen will be hosting a celebration event at Offshore Europe on 7 September 2023; notes that it is also the 50th anniversary of the university’s Integrated Petroleum Geosciences (IPG) MSc programme; recognises what it sees as the numerous important contributions that the School of Engineering has made since its founding in 1923; welcomes the ongoing teaching and research work undertaken by the university, particularly in key areas for energy transition, such as offshore wind, hydrogen and carbon capture and storage; further welcomes the work that is being done to equip the workforce of the future with the skills necessary for meeting the key energy challenges, and wishes the staff, students and alumni all the best as they mark this milestone.
