National Lottery Heritage Funding for Magic Torch Comics

  • Submitted by: Stuart McMillan, Greenock and Inverclyde, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 05 September 2023
  • Motion reference: S6M-10331

That the Parliament congratulates Magic Torch Comics Community Interest Company (CIC) on being awarded £66,880 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for its Distance Noises project; notes that this project aims to share the stories and histories of underrepresented communities through four creative residencies, with creative and archive organisations in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverclyde; wishes Magic Torch Comics CIC all the best for the future, and hopes that its funding success will encourage other organisations in the Greenock and Inverclyde constituency to apply to the NLHF.
