That the Parliament congratulates students due to graduate from Scottish universities in 2023; notes their hard work throughout their years of study; recognises what it sees as the highly stressful circumstances that they face due to the marking and assessment boycott; considers that the ongoing situation means that they face leaving university without the degree their years of study entitled them to, as well as an indefinite delay to receiving their final marks; recognises the plight of university staff who, it understands, feel that they have no other option than to take strike action, and calls for urgent action from university leadership that protects the future job and education prospects of students, who, it believes, the leadership has a responsibility to support.
