That the Parliament congratulates Perth High School’s senior boys football team for reaching the final of the Scottish Senior Shield, which will kick-off at Hampden Park at 7pm on 19 May 2023; understands that the team has gone through a whole year unbeaten en route to qualifying for the final, and that the boys team mostly consists of S6 pupils, with a few from S4 and S5; congratulates the boys for their team spirit, with, it understands, coach and PE teacher, Ross Robinson, testifying that, “the team spirit they have is incredible" and that, "the camaraderie, the friendship within the group is massive, I haven’t seen or heard of a single disagreement barring one on the pitch”; understands that the team hopes to bring at least 200 fans to attend the final, where they will live out the experience of living as a professional footballer for a day, and wishes the team every success for the final.
