Bruce Adamson Stepping Down as Children and Young People’s Commissioner

That the Parliament pays tribute to Bruce Adamson, who is stepping down as Children and Young People's Commissioner Scotland in May 2023; notes that Bruce has served in the role for six years, after the Parliament approved his nomination in 2017; believes that he has worked tirelessly in promoting the rights of children and young people in Scotland; thanks him, in particular, for his work in reviewing law and policy and working with the Parliament to ensure that the rights of children are upheld; notes that his successor, Nicola Killean, has been approved by the Parliament, and will take over the role this month; congratulates Nicola on her nomination; looks forward to working with her in safeguarding the rights of children and young people, and wishes Bruce the very best in his next steps.
