That the Parliament notes the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, beginning around 22 March 2023 and lasting between 29 and 30 days, depending on the moon sighting; understands that Ramadan is observed worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection; notes the Muslim focus on charity and charitable giving during this holy month; calls for the tolerance and free practice of peaceful religious observance around the world, and wishes the Muslim community in Scotland, and across the world, a blessed month of Ramadan.
