That the Parliament welcomes the news that nominations are now open for the 2023 Scottish Walking Awards, organised by Paths for All, Ramblers Scotland and Living Streets Scotland; understands that the biennial awards showcase outstanding work happening across all regions of Scotland to help it become a walking nation; highlights that individuals, communities, companies and projects that are making walking and wheeling accessible to everyone can submit nominations for awards in 10 categories before 19 March 2023; recognises what it sees as the positive impact of walking and wheeling, which, it believes, help improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce health inequalities and help tackle the climate emergency; notes that the winners of the 2023 Scottish Walking Awards will be announced during the National Walking Month in May 2023, and encourages everyone to get involved.
