That the Parliament notes, with great sadness, the tragic death of Barry Martin, a firefighter who lost his life in the wake of the fire at Edinburgh Jenners in January 2023; notes that residents of Edinburgh have marked his bravery and heroism by laying floral arrangements around the Jenners building; wishes to put on record its respect for Barry and its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues, and acknowledges the sacrifice that the emergency services make by putting their lives on the line each and every day.
