That the Parliament congratulates Scottish Midland Co-Operative Society on its donation of £25,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal; understands that this will go towards humanitarian aid for those displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine; notes the positive impact, it believes, DEC appeals have made to previous humanitarian crises around the world; wishes the charities of the DEC similar success in alleviating the tragedies of this latest conflict, and celebrates what it sees as Scotmid’s example of co-operative internationalist values in action.
