To ask the Scottish Government what consultation it undertook with GPs, practice managers, reception staff and other primary care professionals prior to the procurement and rollout of the Vision 3 system.
Answer
Between 2017 and 2018, a multidisciplinary group of subject matter experts (SMEs) worked to define the requirements for a future GP clinical system. This group included GPs, nurses, pharmacists, practice managers, health board facilitators, and specialists in IT and information governance.
By February 2019, following structured evaluation and scoring involving the SME group, Vision was one of three suppliers appointed to a Scottish framework agreement.
SMEs remain members of governance groups supporting the implementation of the migration programme.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it will take to ensure that cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and chronic kidney disease are given appropriate priority within the Long-Term Conditions Framework, in light of the combined burden of morbidity and mortality associated with these conditions in Scotland.
Answer
Our Long Term Conditions Advisory Group 1 focused on cardiometabolic and renal conditions, including cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and chronic kidney disease. We are carefully considering the recommendations made by all six of the advisory groups, established under the previous government, to inform our way forward for long term conditions. Our Programme for Government for 2026-27 will be put to the Parliament in due course.

We are grateful for the work of all six Advisory Groups in developing their recommendations. These recommendations were made for Scottish Ministers to consider. It is for Scottish Ministers to decide whether and to what extend any of the recommendations become government policy.
