Good morning and welcome to the 12th meeting in 2006 of the Audit Committee. I am pleased to welcome the Auditor General for Scotland, his team from Audit Scotland, members of the public—who are either here or are watching or listening—and my colleagues on the committee.
I refer members to my recorded declaration of interests. For the ensuing meeting, I particularly draw to their attention the fact that I am still a member of the Educational Institute of Scotland.
I thank you and welcome you back to the committee. I remind members that mobile phones and pagers should be turned off.
