Interests

Jamie McGrigor (Highlands and Islands) (Con)

Welcome to the first meeting of the National Trust for Scotland (Governance etc) Bill Committee. I am in the chair because I am the oldest member of the committee.

I remind all those present, including myself, that mobile phones and BlackBerrys should be turned off completely as they interfere with the sound system even when they are switched to silent.

No apologies have been received.

Item 1 is the declaration of interests and of impartiality. I will start. I refer members to my entry in the register of members’ interests and declare that there is nothing in it that is relevant to the committee’s remit. I also declare that I will act impartially and that I will make decisions based solely on the evidence and information provided to the committee.

Jayne Baxter (Mid Scotland and Fife) (Lab)

I do not have any interests to declare. There is nothing in my entry in the register of interests that would cause me any difficulty in participating in the committee. I will act impartially and will base my decisions solely on the evidence and information provided to the committee.

I have no registrable interests that are relevant to my work in the committee. I declare that I will act impartially and will base decisions solely on the evidence and information provided to the committee.

I have no registrable interests that are relevant to the committee’s work. I declare that I will act impartially and will base decisions solely on the evidence and information provided to the committee.

Thank you.
