Official Report 163KB pdf
Agenda item 2 is consideration of our draft annual report. Members have a copy of it. I propose that we go through it paragraph by paragraph. Members should suggest any changes that they wish to make to the text.
The first sentence of paragraph 10 contains a split infinitive.
Split infinitives are only strictly against the rules in Latin.
Thank you for that.
No.
That was painless.
Absolutely.
There is no mention of our climate change conference.
It is there.
I missed the reference to it.
It is in paragraph 23.
Oh, yes. I am sorry.
The report does not convey how we suffered during our consideration of the Climate Change (Scotland) Bill, but I do not suppose that it could.
My only reaction was that I thought that we should enlarge that section of the report just to emphasise our work in that area, but let us not do that—let us consign it to history.
I suspect that we will be able to record our views next time round, when the bill has completed its passage.
It is a good report, which shows that we are a hard-working committee.
It is a surprisingly long report, but that simply reflects the effort that has been put in.
Does the committee agree that the report should be published in June?
Members indicated agreement.
