Decisions on Taking Business in Private
I welcome members to the seventh meeting in 2014 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. I have an apology from George Adam, who has another engagement that prevents his being with us today.
As ever, I remind everybody to switch off mobile phones because they affect the broadcasting system; I am so doing even as we speak. Members can, of course, consult tablets during the meeting because some of the papers are provided in digital format, but looking at the convener from time to time is something that is worth considering.
Agenda item 1 is for the committee to agree to take in private item 4, which is on the Interests of Members of the Scottish Parliament Act 2006. Are members content to take item 4 in private?
Members indicated agreement.
Item 2 is for the committee to agree that its consideration of the evidence heard in its inquiry into procedures for considering legislation, and a paper on interests in shares, be taken in private at future meetings. Are members content with that?
Members indicated agreement.
