Decision on Taking Business in Private

Good morning and welcome to the 16th meeting in 2018 of the Social Security Committee. I remind everyone to turn mobile phones and other devices to silent mode so that they do not disrupt the meeting or the broadcasting system. No apologies have been received for today’s meeting, but my colleague Ben Macpherson will have to leave for a short period of time to attend a meeting of another committee.

Under agenda item 1, the committee is invited to agree to take item 5, which is consideration of the evidence that we will take under item 2, and items 6, 7 and 8, which concern consideration of papers by the clerk and correspondence from the Minister for Social Security, in private. Does the committee agree to do so?
